Take your future seriously. Have fun doing it.
Purple Tribe brings conferences, clubs and mentors to young people, so they grow in character, purpose and conviction as well as in grades.
The conference
Big talks, live acts, trivia and real questions.
The club
A student-led group in your school that keeps the momentum going.
The mentor
Someone in your corner after the day is over.
Where we've started
In November 2025, we held the Equipped Youth Conference at Akroma Plaza in Takoradi: 110+ young people, including students from Ahantaman Girls SHS and Fijai SHS, for a day of talks, discussion and mentorship. It's the beginning of what we intend to keep doing, in more schools, for more young people.
How a conference day is built to run.
Talks, but also trivia, a panel, live acts and video. No one is left sitting at the back.
Doors open
Prayer, a warm welcome and a quick hello to who we are.
The big talk
Taking your studies seriously: habits, discipline, vision.
Live on stage
Music, spoken word or drama from young people and guests.
Trivia time
Quick-fire questions with rewards for the sharpest teams.
Ask anything
A panel of speakers and mentors. Your questions, their honest answers.
Voices from afar
Recorded messages from speakers who could not be in the room.
The highlight reel
A video of the day, so everyone sees what they were part of.
What's next
Mentor sign-ups, feedback, and where to find us after today.
Where would you fit in?
Three quick taps. No sign-up, nothing saved.
1. I'm a…
2. I can give…
3. I'm happiest when I'm…
Were you there?
If you came to the Equipped Youth Conference, tell us in a line or two what stayed with you. With your permission, we'll share it here.

Whether you lead a school, or want to speak, mentor or volunteer, there's a place for you.
Get involvedRaising people, not just results.
Mission, vision and the values behind every conference, club and conversation.
Our mission is to raise young people of character and conviction — helping them take their studies, their faith and their future seriously, so they leave school ready to shape the world, not just enter it.
Our vision is a generation of young people who are not only academically capable, but grounded — who know what they believe, why it matters, and how to live it out.
Purple Tribe's values guide every conference, every club night, and every conversation.
Character
Integrity over shortcuts, even when no one's watching.
Proverbs 22:1Excellence
Doing the work well, not just doing enough.
Colossians 3:23Community
No one grows alone — we walk with young people, not just at them.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10A day that starts something.
Everything begins with a conference. What follows is what makes it last.
Conferences
A day of speaker sessions, live performances, trivia with rewards, a panel you can put questions to, and recorded messages from speakers who could not be there. All built around one theme: taking life seriously. Not just studies, but character, purpose and faith. Students leave with something to think about, and a next step to take.
The Purple Tribe Club
After the conference ends, the conversation doesn't have to. Where a school welcomes it, we help set up a student-led club, run by a student president and guided by a patron teacher. It's a regular place to work on study habits, character, purpose and support together.
Mentorship & Beyond
Real relationships that outlast a single event. Students who want to go further are matched with mentors and stay connected through a WhatsApp community — through holidays, exams, and whatever comes after school.
Your road from senior high to what comes next.
Twelve milestones in four stages. Your mentor walks every one with you, and you leave each with something real in your hands. Start where you are.
At the end, the circle closes: today's mentees become tomorrow's mentors. Every pair sets its own pace, and nobody has to start at the beginning.

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Purple Tribe is a youth development initiative based in Takoradi, Ghana. This page explains how we handle personal information on this website and in our programmes. We try to follow the principles of Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843): collect only what we need, use it for the reason we gave, keep it safe, and let you see it or remove it.
What we collect
- Through the Get Involved form: your name, email or phone number, whether you are interested in bringing Purple Tribe to a school or in volunteering, your school or organisation (optional), and your message.
- Through our volunteer and interest forms: the answers you give, which may include your school, level and availability. If you are under 18 we also ask for a parent or guardian's name and phone number.
- At conferences and clubs: names and contact details for mentorship sign-ups, and feedback you choose to give. We may take photos and video (see below).
This website does not use advertising trackers, and we do not set our own cookies.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and arrange conversations with schools, volunteers, speakers and mentors.
- To organise conferences, clubs and mentorship, and to match students with mentors.
- To let a parent or guardian know about a young person's involvement, where that applies.
- To understand how our programmes are going, using feedback in summary form.
Where it is kept and who sees it
Form responses are saved in a Google Sheet and sent to our team inbox. Only the Purple Tribe team members who need them can open them. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with people who need it to run the programme, such as a school liaison teacher or the mentor matched with you, or when the law requires it.
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages and uses Google Fonts, so those services may see your IP address when the page loads. Our forms run on Google services. Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
Photos and video
We take photos and video at events to share what Purple Tribe does. For anyone under 18, we use identifiable images only with the consent of a parent, guardian or the school. If you or your child appears in an image you would like removed, tell us and we will take it down.
Young people
Purple Tribe works with senior high school students. We ask for a parent or guardian's details when a person under 18 volunteers, and we do not use young people's personal details for marketing. Mentors and volunteers follow our Code of Conduct, which sets out how they may contact students.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reason it was collected, for example while you are active as a volunteer, mentor or club member. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- correct it if it is wrong,
- delete it or stop using it.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian can make these requests for you. To do any of this, email info.purpletribe@gmail.com or call +233 24 063 5675. We will reply as soon as we can. You may also contact Ghana's Data Protection Commission if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
A safe place to grow.
How everyone at a Purple Tribe conference, club or mentorship relationship is expected to behave.
Purple Tribe exists to help young people grow in character, purpose and conviction. That only works where they are safe, respected and taken seriously. This code applies to everyone involved: students, mentors, speakers, volunteers, patrons, team members and guests, at events, in clubs, and in any online group or message thread connected to Purple Tribe.
In an emergency, call 112 (or 191 for the police) first, then tell us.
For everyone
- Treat every person with respect, whatever their school, background, gender, ability, tribe or opinions.
- No bullying, harassment, humiliation, threats, or discriminatory jokes or language, in person or online.
- Our programmes are rooted in Christian values. Everyone is welcome, and nobody is pressured, shamed or made to feel less for what they believe.
- No alcohol, drugs or weapons at our events.
- Listen when others speak, follow the programme and respect the school's rules and property.
- Respect privacy. Do not share another person's details, photos or story without their permission.
For mentors, speakers and volunteers
You are trusted with young people, and that trust is the whole point. We ask you to:
- Keep mentoring conversations open and visible: in a group, in a public place, or in a channel that the school, a guardian or the team can see. Do not meet a student alone and out of sight.
- Use only the communication channels agreed with the team, such as our official WhatsApp groups. Do not start private conversations, late-night messaging or secret communication with a student.
- Never have a romantic or sexual relationship with a student, or say or do anything of a sexual nature towards one. This includes after a mentoring relationship ends, for as long as the person is under 18.
- Do not give students money, gifts or favours that could create pressure, and do not ask them for any.
- Do not take or share photos or video of a student without the consent described in our Privacy Policy.
- Be a good example in language, conduct and how you treat others.
- Keep what students tell you private, with one exception: if someone may be at risk of harm, you must pass it on (see "Raising a concern").
For students
- Come ready to learn, ask questions and encourage each other.
- Tell a team member or your school liaison teacher if something makes you uncomfortable. It is never your fault.
- Do not share anyone's private messages or photos.
- Never meet up with an adult from Purple Tribe privately. If someone asks you to, tell your teacher, parent or guardian, or the team.
Online spaces
Our WhatsApp groups and other online spaces follow the same rules. Keep messages relevant and kind. Admins may remove messages or members that break this code.
Raising a concern
If you see or experience behaviour that breaks this code, or you are worried about a young person's safety, tell us as soon as you can:
- Email info.purpletribe@gmail.com or call +233 24 063 5675.
- At an event, speak to any team member or the school liaison teacher.
We take every report seriously and keep it as private as we can. If a concern involves a member of the leadership team, tell another team member and it will be handled by someone else. Nobody will be treated badly for raising a concern in good faith.
What happens if the code is broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may give a reminder or a warning, remove a person from an event, group or role, tell the school or a parent or guardian, and where the law requires or a person may be at risk, report it to the relevant authorities.
